Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Flare CMS, its documentation site, admin dashboard, or API (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Flare CMS is an open-source, edge-native headless content management system designed to run on Cloudflare Workers. It provides a REST API, admin dashboard, and supporting tools for managing and delivering content. The Service includes the hosted documentation site and any publicly available demo instances.

3. Open Source License

The Flare CMS source code is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the software, subject to the conditions of that license. These Terms of Service govern your use of the hosted Service and do not restrict your rights under the MIT License.

4. User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

  • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not attempt to disrupt, degrade, or impair the Service or its infrastructure
  • Not use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or other harmful content
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Maintain the security of any credentials associated with your use of the Service

5. Intellectual Property

The Flare CMS name, logo, and branding are the property of the project maintainers. The source code is licensed under the MIT License. Content you create and manage through the Service remains your property. The documentation content on this site is provided for informational purposes and may be referenced in accordance with fair use.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The maintainers of Flare CMS shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

7. Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Demo instances may be reset at any time.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the hosted Service for any user who violates these terms. Since Flare CMS is open source, termination of access to the hosted Service does not affect your right to use the software under the MIT License.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
